Crafting a Coat over Four Weeks
Have you ever wanted to make the perfect winter coat? Learn how to in our four week evening class. Learn the techniques and secrets to cutting, placing and finishing your ideal coat.
This class is suitable for someone with a basic level of machine sewing and access to a machine outside of class time to practise techniques.
The class will be held at 32 St Peters St, Ipswich, IP1 1XB from 7-9pm for four consecutive weeks.
How does it work? We will be working from a Vogue pattern available in sizes 4-22. The pattern is supplied as part of the class. You need to bring fabric with you (around 3 metres of fabric at 1.4 metres wide), ideally something like a light wool, raincoat fabric, canvas, cotton duck or an upholstery weight fabric. You will also need 1.5 metres of a medium weight interfacing. You may need buttons or snaps, and a buckle if you opt for a belt. If you are unsure about what fabric to bring, please get in touch with us.
