Join us for this one-day class to learn the art of Japanese sashiko embroidery.

Beginning at 9.30am in our central Ipswich studio we will be exploring the history of sashiko through to modern day. We will be looking at the designs and techniques employed to create the classic motifs and their meaning. There will be the opportunity to use authentic threads and specialised needles to make a series of pieces to take home with you. This is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in Japanese culture and history with your tutor.

The class starts at 9.30am, finishing around 2.30pm. All threads, materials and notions are included in the class. There will be a 30 minute break for lunch where you may wish to either bring food with you, or visit one of the many cafes within a short walk.
